Generally a very comprehensive tour of the Caucasus. Too many churches to visit and over lengthy lunches resulted in our arrived after dark on a few occasions. It would have been nice to visit Batumi to get a more balanced feel for Georgia. Hotels and meals were mainly of a good standard.

Much of the holiday was good especially Azerbaijan for our guide Elvin was exceptionally good. However it was a different matter in Georgia. Our guide was not always clear in her organisation and I did not always know what we were supposed to be doing. The days were often rushed and too much time was spent on the lunch breaks. On 15 September we had passed the Georgian Friendship Monument in daylight but because of poor organisation it was getting dusk when we saw Georgetown Church , and it was pitch dark when we again came to the Friendship Monument. We also travelled winding mountainous roads in the dark, which was potentially dangerous, We had to complain before we got a better coach on Georgia after a few days. I think better planning is required in Georgia and the Hotel KutaisinTerrace was fairly basic and down a backstreet so we had to porter our own luggage on arrival..
Armenia was well organised and we knew where we were going etc.
I think if this had been my first Wendy Wu tour it would have been my last, and other people felt the same. I would appreciate some feedback from Wendy Wu.

Excellent as always.

Too long spent on our lunch stops.
Each day started too late which caused us to rush.
Coach used in Georgia was too small and uncomfortable, with dirty windows and one with misted double glazing.

The quality of the transport in Georgia and Armenia was not very good also some of the meals in Armenia was poor.

A lot of large arrivals at destinations
Seriously annoyed Wendy Wu did not send Azerbaijan visa wising me to nearly miss my plane.Emergency contact eventually sent it but by that time I was so shaken that I became I’ll.I vomited twice : once at Heathrow during wheelchair assistance and later at Frankfurt
I missed the first full day and evening meal as I was not well and stayed in the hotel
Overall this was a great holiday with excellent guides and a very varied itinerary .Hotels varied but generally good and included meals were outstanding
